Done! That was like... almost a month ago, haha. Anyway, I feel so guilty when I don't update my blog o_o At least I got that over and done with...

So, my summer has officially begun. I'm trying my best to keep myself busy so I've been taking on a lot of "projects". I find that if I don't have a lot to do... I think stupid thoughts. Plus, I've had soo much on my mind lately... With friends, family, and obviously, relationships... which I think should be the LAST thing I have to worry about.

So yea, here's a brief list of the things I'm currently working on at the moment. I've got 3ish weeks until summer school starts, so hopefully I can get a lot of the arts-y stuff out of the way before I have to focus 100% on school. =] Yay accounting! o_o

Current projects:
  • Knit a pair of teal socks;
  • Read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell;
  • Choreograph Janet Jackson's Feedback with my sister (my first time--it's actually going well!);
  • Design the WTCCC summer camp book cover;
  • Figure out my dslr

Epik High - Love Love Love
Great song with great lyrics. Here's the MV with English subs.

It's 12 at night, drunk with a tired voice
It's 2 in the morning, a cold hang up of the phone

**No one knows my heart
I can't stop love love love
Even though it hurts, I keep repeating
I can't stop love love love

Have you ever loved
Like in the movies where they fall in love at first sight?
Stayed up all night on the phone
Bragged to the world
Waited in the pouring rain
Ran like crazy towards them
Secretly watched them
Gone crazy
Pretended not to see them

Of course you have, loved
Gone broke because of anniverseries
Said sorry even after you did well
Stayed up all night writing a love letter
Moved a date with your family
Prayed to God for them not to hurt
Avoided friends
Watched their backs as they left

**

(Can't stop love love oh love)
I loved them like crazy, why
I was really good to them, why
I gave my all
You've got me going crazy
(Can't stop love love oh love)
I loved them to death, why
I gave them my heart and body
I've lost everything, what do I do?

**

Have you ever broken up
Had your make-up erased in the rain
Cut your long hair
Picked up a cigarette even though you quit
Avoided a place thinking that you would meet them
Written a letter that you couldn't send
Get drunk and dial their number (hello) had your lips freeze

Of course you have, broken up
Hated them as much as you loved them
Torn a letter you couldn't read
Erased a number you couldn't forget
Celebrated an anniversary on your own
Burnt all the pictures
Thought that all the sad songs in this world was about you

**

I LOVE YOU
I LOVE YOU

Cry like a fool, get drunk again
Grab your friends and curse that person
Time passes, and you get drunk again
Pick up the phone, say love

**

**
No one knows what I'm feeling
Actually you're the only one who doesn't know
Even though it hurts, I keep repeating
Someday we'll meet again.

DRASTIC CHANGE IN APPEARANCE.

| | Comments (1)
Okay, that was a bit of an exaggeration. I personally don't think it's THAT huge of a change, but I keep on getting "wtf" reactions.... So uhmm...?

My hair is jet black!

For me, this is pretty significant I suppose. The last time I had dark hair was ages ago, but even so, it wasn't jet black. My natural hair color is dark brown anyway, so it was a bit hard to digest at first...

This was what I looked like last week (trying to capture different angles here):IMG00002.jpgIMG00008 - Copy.jpgIMG000100.jpg
And now........
IMG00031.jpgI was so self-conscious at first, I wouldn't take my hat off...
IMG00013.jpg
IMG00021444.jpgIMG00034.jpg
Anyway, I have been soooooo busy lately. Not with school work though, surprisingly... With dance! Our performance is in two weeks, and we've been practicing like crazy. About 5 hours each practice, minimum 5~6 times a week! I've been so busy and exhausted from it that I've been sorta hermit-ing lately... Boo =( But on the bright side, I've become pretty tight with my jazz girlies <3

Hmm, that's about it. In terms of shopping... I splurged on yet another set of Skinfood products! Man I'm not even gonna hide it.... Tis is shameful advertising D: But I love this brand! Everyone should use it!

Massage gel, cleansing water, anti-wrinkle cream, eyebrow shadow, masks...
DSC04997.JPG
Random side story that happened a couple hours ago... So after a 5-hour dance practice, I was famished and decided to grab something at McDonalds (despite the fact that it was past midnight--shame on me!)... I walked up to order and the cashier (male) started smiling and then laughing... I was like... "What?" He shook his head and said "nothing".

I ordered, waited for my food and when he came back to give me change... I asked him "Why were you laughing earlier?". He smiled again and said, "Because you're pretty". O__O... I was like "Haaaaaaaaaaaa" and then walked away. I was happy though (:

Er... Peace out? My hands look so plain without polish :(

Puta ang ina, khob-kun-ka!

| | Comments (1)
(Puta ang ina = Tagalog for 'fuck', khob-kun-ka = Thai for 'thank you'.) Combined, it's 'Fuck, thanks!' Sadly, these are the only two phrases I learned during my 10-day vacation in Thailand and the Philppines.

I'm so lazy to update. Little to no motivation to write this entry, save for maybe my own personal amusement 10 years down the road (FYI: I still read my high school blogs and laugh at my pathetic obsession with Japanese idols back in the day).

The past 1~2 weeks have been quite eventful; for brevity I'll make this more of a photoblog and talk about the main highlights of my trip!

Only in Hong Kong!

| | Comments (1)
So, it's been over a month since I've arrived in Hong Kong... The region is pretty Westernized, plus it's not my first time here, so a lot of the culture doesn't really come as a shock to me. But, there are some.... bemusing things. I came up with a lot, but here's my attempt at truncation:

1. McDelivery
mcdelivery.JPG
Pretty self-explanatory. Could you imagine how fat Canadians would be if this existed back home?

2. Dessert places everywhere! (this is a good thing :D)

desserts.JPG
Why don't they have dessert shops at home? Like, every other block? Life is unfair :(

3. But after the desserts, they'll guilt you with their "subliminal' messages
subliminal messages.JPG
Uh huh. There are weight loss ads everywhere... I've actually stopped at several of them and seriously considered joining one of their programs. All the ads are like "120 lbs to 90 lbs! You can do it!" If they advertised like that back home, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing lawsuit after lawsuit.... Anyway, Hong Kong girls are too skinny.

4. "Friendly" toilet reminders
friendly reminders.JPG
It's like we're back in grade school again. Why do Hong Kong people constantly need these reminders?

5. Unnecessary life endangerment
Actually, I can kinda sympathize with jaywalkers. I'm not unreasonable. If you're in a hurry, okay, go ahead and jaywalk. I do it sometimes too. But this is bewildering to me:
jaywalking.JPG
I really don't understand why people cross the street, knowing that you won't make it to the other side... You just end up standing there looking like an idiot. Know that you aren't gonna get to your destination any quicker, you know.

6. Hall culture
I didn't realize it until recently, but all the residential halls have a unique "culture". My hallmates do a lot of interesting things, like the following...
flushing express.JPG
Do you know what "Flushing Express" is? It's a neat sheet of paper, taped conveniently beside the toilet for hallmates to leave messages to each other when they're going number 1 or number 2. Mostly number 2 though.

Alright, so I'm gonna leave it at that. I didn't realize that most of the entry consists of just.... ranting. Don't get me wrong though, I love Hong Kong. But, I think it's also really healthy to compare where you are at the moment to your life back at home. It helps you appreciate your hometown that much more. Plus, I think it's ridiculous when people think that Hong Kong is "omg, the best place in the world!!!111". All cultures have their flaws, and you're just in denial if you think a certain place is "perfect".

Anyway, on to other things. How about a nail art spam? If you remember from my last post, I had a French manicure....
french tip.JPG

I got bored of it precisely after 2 days, and switched to this:
purple nails.JPG

But then I realized it looks like someone took a hammer and pounded on my poor hands. So I changed to just a solid, turquoise-blue colour.
blue sparkles.JPG

In case you forgot what I looked like (haha)...
me.JPG

Good news: my skin has been clearing up! (FYI: above photo has not been edited). I owe it to great lighting and my new Skinfood products:
skinfood.JPG
I am currently using their cleansing gel, water drop essence, make-up remover, overnight mask, bb cream (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!), toner, spot gel, make-up... Wow, a lot.

Hmmm, what else... I've been spending a lot of time with my cousins. Here's a repost of some of my Facebook photos:

My cousin and uncle's birthday

Sticker pictures galore!

I went to my 2nd high table dinner... My roommate Janet and I (She's so pretty--Did I mention that she's Taiwanese/HK?)

Jenn & I
jenn and i.JPG

I've been shopping (surprise surprise)...
shopping.JPG

...and I got my eyelashes done today!
eyelash tabbing.JPG
I was disappointed with the result. It looks too natural (you think I'm crazy right?) But it cost me so much... $60CAD just to look like I have naturally long eyelashes? I dunno. But I don't really like it that much. I prefer a more exaggerated look.

And lastly... The boyfriend has been wanting me to post our photos... But how can I when we don't even have any recent ones? D:
jacky.jpg
(Jacky: How is this?)

That was a long entry... I won't be updating for about... the next two weeks or so. 'Cause I'll be riding elephants in Thailand and suntanning in Boracay, the Philippines! Wish me a safe trip! :)
